The special quaternary ammonium softening agents stay with the fabric during extraction, attaching themselves securely to all fibers. Regular use of this softener/sour extends the useful life of linens, towels and clothing. This extension is also brought about by the neutralization of fabric back to its natural pH state, particularly important to cottons.
